The straw is super light, called Toquilla, and is the same straw used in the handcrafting of the finest Panama hats.
 
The women weaving these disks live in the mountains of Montecristi, Ecuador. The delicate embellishment wire wrapping beading work has been made by me Allie, in my CA studio, using gold-filled high-quality findings, and real Swarovski crystals in contrasting colors.
 
This piece is OOAK because I have handmade only one in this color and it is part of my new OOAK collection "Woven Dreams" only made for customers who want truly unique jewelry
