This one of a kind reversible collar necklace. It is handmade or carved of 2 colors of Spiney Oyster; that can be flipped for show a different color central medallion in the other side. The necklace has the orange kind also known as Spondylus princeps and the purple kind also known as Spondylus calcifer.
FEATURES:
Super creative design is double wear and reversible necklace. You just flip the necklace and you can show the orange or the purple medallion, is like having two necklaces in one piece. The big medallion is the centerpiece of this unique necklace and is 3 inches diameter.
MATERIALS:
Intermixed there are 4 rich layers of jade beads, toasted agate chips, nuggets and barrels and sterling silver dividers. The closure is vintage silver oxidized toggle clasp. Has a very rich victorian realty look. Is a perfect gift for wedding anniversary.

WHAT IS SPINEY OYSTER?
Spiney Oyster is the most precious and rare shell, more expensive than abalone and mother of shell and it have been use from ancient times by the native american indians in the making of high value jewelry, due the shell suppose to attract rain, multiply the crops and the prosperity of its wearer. We can still find beautiful jewels made in this shell by the Navajo Artisans. This necklace was made by my partner workshop of La Perla designs in Ecuador.
